Any creature can become a victim of a mutation, whether it was affected by radiation or unnatural and potent magic fields, and the changes they endure may very well enhance them as much as it can make them nearly useless compared to before.

These unfortunate individuals come in many sizes, and where some had their bodies grotesquely morphed, others gained supernatural abilities while their appearance remains the same for the most part, to the point you couldn’t tell they were affected.

Whether by an unseen witness or by displaying their abilities in public, their actions speak louder than words, and everything they do brings both notoriety and fame, and their names become well known, names like Cloak, Ash, Cobalt, Vyolet, and Enigma.

A mutant can be a rather wide term, where we usually mean a certain creature that has been exposed to high amounts of radiation, a strange forcefield, or some alien energy source. Whatever the cause might have been, whatever the creature was before no longer exists. Now, after exposure to such horror, the creature and its abilities could very well all be changed, to the point nothing like it was ever seen or heard of before.

Think about what the character is and what species do they belong to, how, when, and where did they get exposed, what caused the mutation, how did they change, and create a name worthy of this completely new and unheard being that is about to be introduced to the world ahead.
